അവര്ക്ക് നാം ഓരോ ദൃഷ്ടാന്തവും കാണിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു കൊണ്ടിരുന്നത് അതിന്റെ ഇണയെക്കാള് മഹത്തരമായിക്കൊണ്ട് തന്നെയായിരുന്നു. അവര് (ഖേദിച്ചു) മടങ്ങുവാന് വേണ്ടി നാം അവരെ ശിക്ഷകള് മുഖേന പിടികൂടുകയും ചെയ്തു.(48)
(48) وَمَا نُرِيهِمْ مِنْ آيَةٍ إِلَّا هِيَ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ أُخْتِهَا ۖ وَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِالْعَذَابِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ
And not an Ayah (sign, etc.) We showed them but it was greater than its fellow, and We seized them with torment, in order that they might turn [from their polytheism to Allah's Religion (Islamic Monotheism)].(48)
