സത്യവിശ്വാസികളേ, വിശ്വാസിനികളായ സ്ത്രീകള്‍ അഭയാര്‍ത്ഥികളായി കൊണ്ട്‌ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുത്ത്‌ വന്നാല്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ അവരെ പരീക്ഷിച്ച്‌ നോക്കണം. അവരുടെ വിശ്വാസത്തെ പറ്റി അല്ലാഹു ഏറ്റവും അറിയുന്നവനാണ്‌. എന്നിട്ട്‌ അവര്‍ വിശ്വാസിനികളാണെന്ന്‌ അറിഞ്ഞ്‌ കഴിഞ്ഞാല്‍ അവരെ നിങ്ങള്‍ സത്യനിഷേധികളുടെ അടുത്തേക്ക്‌ മടക്കി അയക്കരുത്‌. ആ സ്ത്രീകള്‍ അവര്‍ക്ക്‌ അനുവദനീയമല്ല. അവര്‍ക്ക്‌ അവര്‍ ചെലവഴിച്ചത്‌ നിങ്ങള്‍ നല്‍കുകയും വേണം. ആ സ്ത്രീകള്‍ക്ക്‌ അവരുടെ പ്രതിഫലങ്ങള്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ കൊടുത്താല്‍ അവരെ നിങ്ങള്‍ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നതിന്‌ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക്‌ വിരോധമില്ല. അവിശ്വാസിനികളുമായുള്ള ബന്ധം നിങ്ങള്‍ മുറുകെപിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യരുത്‌. നിങ്ങള്‍ ചെലവഴിച്ചതെന്തോ, അത്‌ നിങ്ങള്‍ ചോദിച്ചു കൊള്ളുക. അവര്‍ ചെലവഴിച്ചതെന്തോ അത്‌ അവരും ചോദിച്ച്‌ കൊള്ളട്ടെ. അതാണ്‌ അല്ലാഹുവിന്‍റെ വിധി. അവന്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കിടയില്‍ വിധികല്‍പിക്കുന്നു. അല്ലാഹു സര്‍വ്വജ്ഞനും യുക്തിമാനുമാകുന്നു.(10)
(10) يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا جَاءَكُمُ الْمُؤْمِنَاتُ مُهَاجِرَاتٍ فَامْتَحِنُوهُنَّ ۖ اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِإِيمَانِهِنَّ ۖ فَإِنْ عَلِمْتُمُوهُنَّ مُؤْمِنَاتٍ فَلَا تَرْجِعُوهُنَّ إِلَى الْكُفَّارِ ۖ لَا هُنَّ حِلٌّ لَهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحِلُّونَ لَهُنَّ ۖ وَآتُوهُمْ مَا أَنْفَقُوا ۚ وَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ تَنْكِحُوهُنَّ إِذَا آتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ ۚ وَلَا تُمْسِكُوا بِعِصَمِ الْكَوَافِرِ وَاسْأَلُوا مَا أَنْفَقْتُمْ وَلْيَسْأَلُوا مَا أَنْفَقُوا ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ حُكْمُ اللَّهِ ۖ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ ۚ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
O you who believe! When believing women come to you as emigrants, examine them, Allah knows best as to their Faith, then if you ascertain that they are true believers, send them not back to the disbelievers, they are not lawful (wives) for the disbelievers nor are the disbelievers lawful (husbands) for them. But give the disbelievers that (amount of money) which they have spent [as their Mahr] to them. And there will be no sin on you to marry them if you have paid their Mahr to them. Likewise hold not the disbelieving women as wives, and ask for (the return of) that which you have spent (as Mahr) and let them (the disbelievers, etc.) ask back for that which they have spent. That is the Judgement of Allah. He judges between you. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.(10)
