അവരെ (സത്യവിശ്വാസികളെ) വിളിച്ച്‌ അവര്‍ (കപടന്‍മാര്‍) പറയും: ഞങ്ങള്‍ നിങ്ങളോടൊപ്പമായിരുന്നില്ലേ? അവര്‍ (സത്യവിശ്വാസികള്‍) പറയും: അതെ; പക്ഷെ, നിങ്ങള്‍ നിങ്ങളെ തന്നെ കുഴപ്പത്തിലാക്കുകയും (മറ്റുള്ളവര്‍ക്ക്‌ നാശം വരുന്നത്‌) പാര്‍ത്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയും (മതത്തില്‍) സംശയിക്കുകയും അല്ലാഹുവിന്‍റെ ആജ്ഞ വന്നെത്തുന്നത്‌ വരെ വ്യാമോഹങ്ങള്‍ നിങ്ങളെ വഞ്ചിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. അല്ലാഹുവിന്‍റെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ പരമവഞ്ചകനായ പിശാച്‌ നിങ്ങളെ വഞ്ചിച്ചു കളഞ്ഞു.(14)
(14) يُنَادُونَهُمْ أَلَمْ نَكُنْ مَعَكُمْ ۖ قَالُوا بَلَىٰ وَلَٰكِنَّكُمْ فَتَنْتُمْ أَنْفُسَكُمْ وَتَرَبَّصْتُمْ وَارْتَبْتُمْ وَغَرَّتْكُمُ الْأَمَانِيُّ حَتَّىٰ جَاءَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ وَغَرَّكُمْ بِاللَّهِ الْغَرُورُ
(The hypocrites) will call the believers: "Were we not with you?" The believers will reply: "Yes! But you led yourselves into temptations, you looked forward for our destruction; you doubted (in Faith); and you were deceived by false desires, till the Command of Allah came to pass. And the chief deceiver (Satan) deceived you in respect of Allah."(14)
