ഇവര്ക്കു മുമ്പ് എത്ര തലമുറകളെ നാം നശിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്! അവര് ഇവരെക്കാള് കടുത്ത കൈയ്യൂക്കുള്ളവരായിരുന്നു. എന്നിട്ടവര് നാടുകളിലാകെ ചികഞ്ഞു നോക്കി; രക്ഷപ്രാപിക്കാന് വല്ല ഇടവുമുണ്ടോ എന്ന്.(36)
(36) وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُمْ مِنْ قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ بَطْشًا فَنَقَّبُوا فِي الْبِلَادِ هَلْ مِنْ مَحِيصٍ
And how many a generation We have destroyed before them, who were stronger in power than them, and (when Our Torment came) they ran for a refuge in the land! Could they find any place of refuge (for them to save themselves from destruction)?(36)
