വേദക്കാരില് നിന്ന് അവര്ക്ക് (സത്യനിഷേധികള്ക്ക്) പിന്തുണ നല്കിയവരെ അവരുടെ കോട്ടകളില് നിന്ന് അവന് ഇറക്കിവിടുകയും അവരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളില് അവന് ഭയം ഇട്ടുകൊടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. അവരില് ഒരു വിഭാഗത്തെ നിങ്ങളതാ കൊല്ലുന്നു. ഒരു വിഭാഗത്തെ നിങ്ങള് തടവിലാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.(26)
(26) وَأَنْزَلَ الَّذِينَ ظَاهَرُوهُمْ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ مِنْ صَيَاصِيهِمْ وَقَذَفَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمُ الرُّعْبَ فَرِيقًا تَقْتُلُونَ وَتَأْسِرُونَ فَرِيقًا
And those of the people of the Scripture who backed them (the disbelievers) Allah brought them down from their forts and cast terror into their hearts, (so that) a group (of them) you killed, and a group (of them) you made captives.(26)
