യഥ്രിബുകാരേ! നിങ്ങള്ക്കു നില്ക്കക്കള്ളിയില്ല. അതിനാല് നിങ്ങള് മടങ്ങിക്കളയൂ. എന്ന് അവരില് ഒരു വിഭാഗം പറയുകയും ചെയ്ത സന്ദര്ഭം. ഞങ്ങളുടെ വീടുകള് ഭദ്രതയില്ലാത്തതാകുന്നു എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു കൊണ്ട് അവരില് ഒരു വിഭാഗം (യുദ്ധരംഗം വിട്ടുപോകാന്) നബിയോട് അനുവാദം തേടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. യഥാര്ത്ഥത്തില് അവ ഭദ്രതയില്ലാത്തതല്ല. അവര് ഓടിക്കളയാന് ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നുവെന്ന് മാത്രം.(13)
(13) وَإِذْ قَالَتْ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْهُمْ يَا أَهْلَ يَثْرِبَ لَا مُقَامَ لَكُمْ فَارْجِعُوا ۚ وَيَسْتَأْذِنُ فَرِيقٌ مِنْهُمُ النَّبِيَّ يَقُولُونَ إِنَّ بُيُوتَنَا عَوْرَةٌ وَمَا هِيَ بِعَوْرَةٍ ۖ إِنْ يُرِيدُونَ إِلَّا فِرَارًا
And when a party of them said: "O people of Yathrib (AlMadinah)! There is no stand (possible) for you (against the enemy attack!) Therefore go back!" And a band of them ask for permission of the Prophet (SAW) saying: "Truly, our homes lie open (to the enemy)." And they lay not open. They but wished to flee.(13)
