അങ്ങനെ നമ്മുടെ വ്യക്തമായ ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങളും കൊണ്ട് മൂസാ അവരുടെ അടുത്ത് ചെന്നപ്പോള് അവര് പറഞ്ഞു: ഇത് വ്യാജനിര്മിതമായ ഒരു ജാലവിദ്യയല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊന്നുമല്ല. നമ്മുടെ പൂര്വ്വ പിതാക്കളില് ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു കാര്യത്തെപ്പറ്റി നാം കേട്ടിട്ടുമില്ല.(36)
(36) فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ مُوسَىٰ بِآيَاتِنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ قَالُوا مَا هَٰذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُفْتَرًى وَمَا سَمِعْنَا بِهَٰذَا فِي آبَائِنَا الْأَوَّلِينَ
Then when Musa (Moses) came to them with Our Clear Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), they said: "This is nothing but invented magic. Never did we hear of this among our fathers of old."(36)
