അവനെ (സ്വാലിഹിനെ) യും അവന്റെ ആളുകളെയും നമുക്ക് രാത്രിയില് കൊന്നുകളയണമെന്നും പിന്നീട് അവന്റെ അവകാശിയോട്, തന്റെ ആളുകളുടെ നാശത്തിന് ഞങ്ങള് സാക്ഷ്യം വഹിച്ചിട്ടില്ല, തീര്ച്ചയായും ഞങ്ങള് സത്യം പറയുന്നവരാകുന്നു എന്ന് നാം പറയണമെന്നും നിങ്ങള് അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ പേരില് സത്യം ചെയ്യണം എന്ന് അവര് തമ്മില് പറഞ്ഞുറച്ചു.(49)
(49) قَالُوا تَقَاسَمُوا بِاللَّهِ لَنُبَيِّتَنَّهُ وَأَهْلَهُ ثُمَّ لَنَقُولَنَّ لِوَلِيِّهِ مَا شَهِدْنَا مَهْلِكَ أَهْلِهِ وَإِنَّا لَصَادِقُونَ
They said: "Swear one to another by Allah that we shall make a secret night attack on him and his household, and afterwards we will surely say to his near relatives: 'We witnessed not the destruction of his household, and verily! We are telling the truth.'"(49)
