ഭാര്യമാര്, പുത്രന്മാര്, കൂമ്പാരമായിക്കൂട്ടിയ സ്വര്ണം, വെള്ളി, മേത്തരം കുതിരകള്, നാല്കാലി വര്ഗങ്ങള്, കൃഷിയിടം എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഇഷ്ടപെട്ട വസ്തുക്കളോടുള്ള പ്രേമം മനുഷ്യര്ക്ക് അലങ്കാരമായി തോന്നിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. അതൊക്കെ ഇഹലോകജീവിതത്തിലെ വിഭവങ്ങളാകുന്നു. അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ അടുക്കലാകുന്നു (മനുഷ്യര്ക്ക്) ചെന്നുചേരാനുള്ള ഉത്തമ സങ്കേതം.(14)
(14) زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ الشَّهَوَاتِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ وَالْبَنِينَ وَالْقَنَاطِيرِ الْمُقَنْطَرَةِ مِنَ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَالْخَيْلِ الْمُسَوَّمَةِ وَالْأَنْعَامِ وَالْحَرْثِ ۗ ذَٰلِكَ مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَاللَّهُ عِنْدَهُ حُسْنُ الْمَآبِ
Beautified for men is the love of things they covet; women, children, much of gold and silver (wealth), branded beautiful horses, cattle and well-tilled land. This is the pleasure of the present world's life; but Allah has the excellent return (Paradise with flowing rivers, etc.) with Him.(14)
