അല്ലാഹുവിന് പുറമെ അവര്ക്ക് ഉപകാരമുണ്ടാക്കുകയോ ഉപദ്രവമുണ്ടാക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യാത്തതിനെ അവര് ആരാധിക്കുന്നു. സത്യനിഷേധി തന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവിനെതിരെ (ദുശ്ശക്തികള്ക്ക്) പിന്തുണ നല്കുന്നവനായിരിക്കുന്നു.(55)
(55) وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنْفَعُهُمْ وَلَا يَضُرُّهُمْ ۗ وَكَانَ الْكَافِرُ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِ ظَهِيرًا
And they (disbelievers, polytheists, etc.) worship besides Allah, that which can neither profit them nor harm them, and the disbeliever is ever a helper (of the Satan) against his Lord.(55)
