അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: അല്ല, നിങ്ങളിട്ട് കൊള്ളുക. അപ്പോഴതാ അവരുടെ ജാലവിദ്യ നിമിത്തം അവരുടെ കയറുകളും വടികളുമെല്ലാം ഓടുകയാണെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് തോന്നുന്നു.(66)
(66) قَالَ بَلْ أَلْقُوا ۖ فَإِذَا حِبَالُهُمْ وَعِصِيُّهُمْ يُخَيَّلُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ سِحْرِهِمْ أَنَّهَا تَسْعَىٰ
[Musa (Moses)] said: "Nay, throw you (first)!" Then behold, their ropes and their sticks, by their magic, appeared to him as though they moved fast.(66)
