അല്ലാഹുവിന്‍റെ നാമം ഉച്ചരി (ച്ച്‌ അറു) ക്കപ്പെട്ടതില്‍ നിന്ന്‌ നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്തിന്‌ തിന്നാതിരിക്കണം.? നിങ്ങളുടെ മേല്‍ നിഷിദ്ധമാക്കിയത്‌ അവന്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക്‌ വിശദമാക്കിത്തന്നിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ. നിങ്ങള്‍ (തിന്നുവാന്‍) നിര്‍ബന്ധിതരായിത്തീരുന്നതൊഴികെ. ധാരാളം പേര്‍ യാതൊരു വിവരവുമില്ലാതെ തന്നിഷ്ടങ്ങള്‍ക്കനുസരിച്ച്‌ (ആളുകളെ) പിഴപ്പിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്‌. തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നിന്‍റെ രക്ഷിതാവ്‌ അതിക്രമകാരികളെപ്പറ്റി നല്ലവണ്ണം അറിയുന്നവനത്രെ.(119)
(119) وَمَا لَكُمْ أَلَّا تَأْكُلُوا مِمَّا ذُكِرَ اسْمُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَقَدْ فَصَّلَ لَكُمْ مَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِلَّا مَا اضْطُرِرْتُمْ إِلَيْهِ ۗ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا لَيُضِلُّونَ بِأَهْوَائِهِمْ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُعْتَدِينَ
And why should you not eat of that (meat) on which Allah's Name has been pronounced (at the time of slaughtering the animal), while He has explained to you in detail what is forbidden to you, except under compulsion of necessity? And surely many do lead (mankind) astray by their own desires through lack of knowledge. Certainly your Lord knows best the transgressors.(119)
