നിങ്ങള് ജനങ്ങളോട് നന്മ കല്പിക്കുകയും നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്തം കാര്യത്തില് (അത്) മറന്നുകളയുകയുമാണോ ? നിങ്ങള് വേദഗ്രന്ഥം പാരായണം ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ. നിങ്ങളെന്താണ് ചിന്തിക്കാത്തത് ?(44)
(44) ۞ أَتَأْمُرُونَ النَّاسَ بِالْبِرِّ وَتَنْسَوْنَ أَنْفُسَكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ تَتْلُونَ الْكِتَابَ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
Enjoin you Al-Birr (piety and righteousness and each and every act of obedience to Allah) on the people and you forget (to practise it) yourselves, while you recite the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)]! Have you then no sense?(44)
