സത്യവിശ്വാസികളേ, ഒരു അധര്മ്മകാരി വല്ല വാര്ത്തയും കൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുത്ത് വന്നാല് നിങ്ങളതിനെപ്പറ്റി വ്യക്തമായി അന്വേഷിച്ചറിയണം. അറിയാതെ ഏതെങ്കിലും ഒരു ജനതയ്ക്ക് നിങ്ങള് ആപത്തുവരുത്തുകയും, എന്നിട്ട് ആ ചെയ്തതിന്റെ പേരില് നിങ്ങള് ഖേദക്കാരായിത്തീരുകയും ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കാന് വേണ്ടി.(6)
(6) يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ جَاءَكُمْ فَاسِقٌ بِنَبَإٍ فَتَبَيَّنُوا أَنْ تُصِيبُوا قَوْمًا بِجَهَالَةٍ فَتُصْبِحُوا عَلَىٰ مَا فَعَلْتُمْ نَادِمِينَ
O you who believe! If a rebellious evil person comes to you with a news, verify it, lest you harm people in ignorance, and afterwards you become regretful to what you have done.(6)
