അല്ലാഹു മനുഷ്യരെ അവരുടെ അക്രമം മൂലം (ഉടനടി) പിടികൂടിയിരുന്നെങ്കില് ഭൂമുഖത്ത് യാതൊരു ജന്തുവെയും അവന് വിട്ടേക്കുമായിരുന്നില്ല. എന്നാല് നിര്ണിതമായ ഒരു അവധി വരെ അവന് അവര്ക്ക് സമയം നീട്ടികൊടുക്കുകയാണ് ചെയ്യുന്നത്. അങ്ങനെ അവരുടെ അവധി വന്നാല് ഒരു നാഴിക നേരം പോലും അവര്ക്ക് വൈകിക്കാന് ആവുകയില്ല. അവര്ക്കത് നേരെത്തെയാക്കാനും കഴിയില്ല.(61)
(61) وَلَوْ يُؤَاخِذُ اللَّهُ النَّاسَ بِظُلْمِهِمْ مَا تَرَكَ عَلَيْهَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ وَلَٰكِنْ يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ۖ فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهُمْ لَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ سَاعَةً ۖ وَلَا يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ
And if Allah were to seize mankind for their wrong-doing, He would not leave on it (the earth) a single moving (living) creature, but He postpones them for an appointed term and when their term comes, neither can they delay nor can they advance it an hour (or a moment).(61)
