നിങ്ങളിലാര്ക്കെങ്കിലും മരണം ആസന്നമാവുമ്പോള്, അയാള് ധനം വിട്ടുപോകുന്നുണ്ടെങ്കില് മാതാപിതാക്കള്ക്കും, അടുത്ത ബന്ധുക്കള്ക്കും വേണ്ടി ന്യായപ്രകാരം വസ്വിയ്യത്ത് ചെയ്യുവാന് നിങ്ങള് നിര്ബന്ധമായി കല്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. സൂക്ഷ്മത പുലര്ത്തുന്നവര്ക്ക് ഒരു കടമയത്രെ അത്.(180)
(180) كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ إِنْ تَرَكَ خَيْرًا الْوَصِيَّةُ لِلْوَالِدَيْنِ وَالْأَقْرَبِينَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ۖ حَقًّا عَلَى الْمُتَّقِينَ
It is prescribed for you, when death approaches any of you, if he leaves wealth, that he make a bequest to parents and next of kin, according to reasonable manners. (This is) a duty upon Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2).(180)
